Immanuel Lutheran School Honors Veterans

Immanuel Lutheran School proved their embodiment of the All Heart culture of Bristol! On Friday, November 6th, Immanuel Lutheran School Staff and Students gathered together to honor Bristol veterans for their service. Dignitaries included Mr. Russ Trudel, the current Commander of the Bristol Post Two, Mayor Ken Cockayne, and many Veterans and Serviceman.

The staff and students worked hard to create a memorable day for all of the Veterans who attended. The day consisted of the history of Veterans Day, songs, and poems performed by the students. Every single student made thank you cards with a Bible verse and special, personal message for the Veterans. Students in grades 3 and 4 wrote a special ABC list about all of the Veterans. The 7th and 8th graders served a light Continental breakfast to show their appreciation towards the veterans. Every veteran who attended the event was recognized and thanked. At the end of the program Mr. Koch played piano as the students, staff and Veterans sang along filling the room with appreciation, and love. Immanuel Lutheran School showed what it means to be All Heart by showing their appreciation for veterans by creating a special day just for them to be recognized. Are you All Heart? We want to know, send us a message and let us know your story!
