Starting High School can be scary but Bristol Central’s Rambassadors are looking to make the transition easier than ever! Brand new to Bristol Central, the Rambassador program was developed by Principal Marisa Calvi-Rogers and teacher Leah McCabe to help freshmen feel welcome and excited to come to school.
Seventy-three seniors were named this year’s Rambassador peer mentors to help positively connect freshmen to the upperclassmen. All selected Rambassadors went through an extensive leadership training to ensure that everyone is setting an example of what it truly means to be a Bristol Central Ram!
According to the Bristol Public Schools Spotlight on Education, Tyler L’Heuruex shared, “When I was a freshmen, I was wary of seniors and now through this program, the environment is open and friendly.†Rambassadors have already begun to make a huge difference in helping acclimate freshmen, from helping them get involved, tutoring, and just being a friend. The Rambassadors program has been nothing but success, and Bristol Central is looking forward to it’s growth in the years to come for not only the program but for the mentors and mentees. Good job Central!
