Get your own space on BRISTOLOPOLY!

Those Bristol Central Rams are up to some creative good!

The Maroon and White Scholarship fund has come up with a great new fundraiser program that will appeal to businesses, non profits, and citizenry alike! They are creating BRISTOLOPOLY. It’s just what it sounds like, a Bristol-centric Monopoly board game that will be selling spaces to businesses and non profits. After the board is funded, cash goes to support the Maroon and White Scholarship, and then the board is actually manufactured for everyone in the community to have a chance to buy and play our own version of Monopoly!

So move over Boardwalk and Parkplace, we’ve got Chippens and Forestville. The possibilities are endless! Spread the word to any organizations you think might want to have their own space on BRISTOLOPOLY. It’s a great cause, and a fun game for all to enjoy! Below is a letter from Gina Gallo Reinhard outlining the details of the program. Check it out!

Dear Bristol Business Owner,

The Maroon and White Scholarship was created by Bristol Central High School Faculty in 2012. The scholarship financially supports the post-secondary pursuits of Bristol Central seniors. To date, nearly $20,000 has been raised through the efforts of the BCHS family who staged faculty-student athletic events, hosted dress down days, and offered services and goods for a hugely successful silent auction.

BCHS Principal Pete Wininger has lent his full support to the efforts of the Maroon & White initiative which has pledged to reward those promising young students who have worked hard, done the right thing, and given back to their school and community.  This year the scholarship committee is reaching out to local businesses to help us reach our fundraising goals and to support the positive growth of the entire Bristol community.

We are soliciting local businesses and organizations to help us support our students, the Bristol community, and your organization by creating BRISTOL-OPOLY. Instead of Park Place and Pennsylvania Avenue, it will feature local businesses and points of interest. This game will be sold at various locations across town not only to support our initiative, but also to showcase all Bristol has to offer. There are various advertising opportunities for your business, including 39 squares around the board as well as each of the 4 corner squares. The customized money and the Fate Cards also need sponsorship.

There are limited advertisement spaces available. Requests will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Don’t miss the chance to be a part of Bristol’s history. If you have additional questions, please contact Gina Gallo Reinhard at ginagallo@bristolk12.org. Thank you for your support of the City of Bristol and our students.
