May 1, 2016 will mark the 12th year that Bristol has launched 5,000 rubber ducks into the Pequabuck River for the annual Duck Race. The race is conducted by the Forestville Village Association and the Bristol Chamber of Commerce and this year is going to be bigger, better and quackier than ever before!
The day will be filled with quacky fun, good company, tasty food and lots to do. As always, the Duck Race will start off with a craft fair at 10 am, and then a block party following at 11 am. The block party will include children’s games, lots of vendors and everyone’s favorite, delicious food. A live DJ from 102.9 The Whale will also be “bumping” the tunes to keep you entertained while you wait for your duck to cross the finish line. The Ducks will begin “swimming” down the river at 2 pm for their chance to win the 12th Annual Duck Race!
Don’t miss out on your chance to come watch 5,000 rubber ducks race down the Pequabuck River in pursuit of prizes for their “owners.” 2016 may be the year your duck wins! This year’s prizes include a $1,000 grand prize, rounds of golf, restaurant gift cards and event a TV! Tickets are on sale now for $5 around town including at the Bristol Chamber of Commerce, City True Value, Silvanas Spa, Max’s Pizza and more (full list of locations below). Mark your calendars for May 1st and pick up your tickets today for your chance to win big. The Bristol Chamber of Commerce and Forestville Village Association hope to see you there!
