The Friends of the Bristol Public Library and DoubleTree by Hilton are hosting their 2016 Author Luncheon: Food for Thought featuring best-selling author: Stewart O’Nan on Thursday, July 14th. Born and raised in Pennsylvania, O’Nan’s has written many short stories, novels, and nonfictions books and even a screenplay. His novel Last Night at the Lobster was named one of the New York Public Library Books to remember. His literature includes In the Walled City, Snow Angels, The Circus Fire, Wish You Were Here, Everyday People, A Face in the Crowd, and Poe.
Stewart O’Nan will discuss how he came to write his three book set in Connecticut (Night Country, Circus Fire, and Last Night at the Lobster) and how area libraries were of help to him. Stewart will also read from his national best-selling novel, Last Night at the Lobster, based on true events in Bristol and the local area.
The luncheon will take place at the DoubleTree by Hilton located at 42 Century Drive in Bristol. Admission is only $28 per person and includes lunch. Tickets may be purchased at the Bristol Public Library located at 5 High Street, Bristol or at Manross Memorial Libray located at 260 Central Street in Forestville.
