From time to time, Bristol All Heart likes to share blogs from a noted guest blogger. For the first blog of the 2018, we would like to feature a fast-growing group called the Professional Young Visionaries of Tomorrow and one of its leaders Mike Prentiss.
Professional Young Visionaries of Tomorrow (PYVOT) is a local young professional group, ages 21 – 40, made up of individuals, business owners, and local leaders looking to make Bristol and the surrounding towns a better place to work, live and play. Being a subsidiary of the Central Connecticut Chamber and a partner with the United Way of West Central Connecticut, we offer networking, volunteer, and charitable events, allowing people to build and/or expand their personal network and the ability to give back to their local community. A couple of weeks ago, PYVOT held its 2nd Annual Holiday Party and over 60 individuals were in attendance, including City Councilors, Bankers, Entrepreneurs, recent college graduates, and many other young leaders in the Bristol area. For 2018, PYVOT has released its new Membership, which costs $50, but currently there is promotion being run for a 20% discount, $40, from now until January 1, 2018. This membership will allow PYVOT members access to discounted prices for select PYVOT, Chamber and United Way events, and feature their name and organization on the www.PYVOTCT.com website. The first PYVOT event planned for 2018 is at Spare Time in Bristol on January 18th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The admission price of $20 for Members and $35 for Non-Members, will include:
