It instantly became a perfect compliment, both physically and mentally, for her dancing and gymnast lifestyle – it was the ideal release after a stressful day. After many years of practice, Elizabeth took a 200-hour yoga teacher training to become a certified yoga instructor. She took classes at Bristol CT Yoga when it opened in 2014 and then became an instructor before taking over the business with husband Frank West in June of this year. With a strong emphasis on using props, Elizabeth hopes to make all poses accessible to all students and believes that yoga is for everyone and can improve your physical body as well as mental and spiritual well-being.

Frank West, has been practicing yoga for about five years and found that yoga was a great compliment to his weightlifting and running routine. He is currently in class to receive his 200-hour yoga teacher training certification. Frank plans to finish his training in January and will be teaching at the studio in the new year.

Bristol CT Yoga welcomes everyone from all levels of yoga – offering two to four classes daily, both in the morning and evening, with eight certified instructors who are committed to help you nurture a sustainable practice that works for every body type and lifestyle. The studio is a calm and intimate setting where students are free and encouraged to explore the many elements of yoga on their own terms.

A nice compliment to yoga is massage therapy – massage therapy can have a profound effect on the body’s ability to regenerate and heal chronically distressed muscle tissue. It is known to have practical benefits like helping to improve circulation and range of motion, strengthening of the immune system, improved sleep quality to reduce fatigue. A variety of different massage modalities are offered at Bristol CT Yoga with massage therapists available to help customize your session. Bristol CT Yoga’s goal is to make massage therapy as accessible as possible with affordable prices and convenient times seven days a week.

Stephanie Brilla, LMT is the Licensed Massage Therapist at Bristol CT Yoga. She is a member of the AMTA and a graduate of the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy in Newington where she completed 720 clock hours in February 2018. Her modalities include Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, myofascial release, relaxation massage, sports massage, cross tissue massage and acupressure. She uses this knowledge in her approach to treat her clients and focus on their specific and individual needs. Stephanie is passionate about helping others create a healthy balance in their lives by relieving pain and stress through her work and calm demeanor.
