DACRUZ Manufacturing: Quality Manager

DACRUZ Manufacturing located in Bristol, Connecticut, is a family owned and operated manufacturer established in 1981. We utilize state-of-the-art equipment to make custom precision components serving Original Equipment Manufacturers across a broad spectrum of industries.

We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join our team. Reporting to the President, the Quality Manager is responsible for the management of the overall Quality function of the company, which includes but is not limited to:

  • Manage inspection and packaging department personnel, including hiring, coaching, development, and discipline of employees. Identify training needs, initiate development of subordinates, and recommend effective personnel action.
  • Manages the Quality Assurance Function and the development and operation of an efficient and effective Quality Management System including supplier development, corrective actions, process improvement and all supporting activities.
  • Respond to customer concerns, propose corrective actions, and resolve customer quality-related issues
  • Ensure adherence to customer quality requirements; reviewing processes as they are introduced
  • Liaise with the external assessment body on all matters related to the external accreditation process (ISO)
  • Oversee internal quality auditing, liaising with 3rd parties to complete the audit process
  • Improve the effectiveness of the department; participate in departmental continuous improvement activities, evaluate and report on departmental performance, cross train and develop personnel to ensure stability and next level performance of the department.

Our ideal candidate will have the below:

  • BS or BA degree and 5+ years of related experience
  • Some supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of ISO quality management systems
  • Knowledge of Blueprint reading
  • Intermediate computer skills

We are currently seeking an experienced Production Operations Manager to join our team. Reporting to the President, the Production Operations Manager is responsible for the management of the overall production operations function of the company, which includes but is not limited to:

  • Manage all shop floor operations including Finishing, Shipping & Receiving, Materials, Machining, and Maintenance personnel. This includes hiring, coaching, development, and discipline of employees. Identify training needs, initiate development of subordinates, and recommend effective personnel action.
  • Plan, organize, manage, and monitor the daily operations and production of the company, including scheduling, budget spending, labor efficiency, material efficiency, engineering effectiveness, and manufacturing efficiency
  • Champion the company’s Lean and continuous improvement efforts
  • Improve the effectiveness of the department; participate in departmental continuous improvement activities, evaluate and report on departmental performance, cross train and develop personnel to ensure stability and next level performance of the department

Our ideal candidate will have the below:

  • B.S. degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
  • A minimum of five years operations management experience with the responsibilities of manufacturing, production control, and engineering.
  • Lean expertise; Lean leadership in a similar environment.
  • Experience in a precision machining environment; hands on experience with milling, swiss operations
  • Familiarity with common business reporting and financial metrics, including P&L statements
  • The ability to read blueprints
  • Intermediate computer skills

Novo Precision: Value Stream Manager – Operational Leader

Novo Precision is a manufacturing engineering & technology company who manufacturers their own products as well as products for strategic customers. Novo Precision is defined as an essential employer and is very busy launching new products.

The Value Stream Manager – Operational Leader will be responsible for daily operations of three Value Streams. This position has P & L responsibility as well as ownership for driving Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale (SQDCM) objectives for the Value Stream.

Novo Precision is seeking a high-energy self-starter to learn and advance in their growing business with:

  • P&L responsibility for a growing $6 million Manufacturing Value Stream
  • Responsible to develop & execute operational strategy
  • Engineering/Technical Degree or experience preferred
  • Must possess 5-10 years of manufacturing experience in progressing engineering, operational, consulting or leadership role
  • Must possess strong skills/experience in supervising and mentoring a small to mid-sized manufacturing staff
  • Must possess proven skills in leading safety, quality, cost, delivery and morale
  • TPS/Lean manufacturing/Six-Sigma experience

LAB Security Systems: Escomatic Operator

Set-up and operate Escomatic Swiss Screw Machines to produce precision machined components applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, layouts, control plans and machining procedures.

Job Functions:

  • Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and optical comparators.
  • Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials (i.e. coil stock) onto machines, adhering to all training and safety guidelines.
  • Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
  • Machine parts to blueprint specifications.
  • Set up, adjust and use all the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation of tools to perform the appropriate precision machining operations.
  • Measure, examine, and test completed components to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications using the appropriate instruments (comparators, gages etc.)
  • Follow and document all required SPC, ISO etc. procedures as required
  • Maintain escomatic equipment as required. Observe and detect any machine issues and diagnose if adjustment / repairs are required.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a machine shop environment
  • Set up and operation of D2, D4, and or D6 escomatic machines
  • Ability to hold tight tolerances and produce high quality work
  • Experience reading blueprints
  • Good math skills and ability to use basic measuring equipment

Beekley: Industrial Programmer

Full Time: Monday-Friday/6am-3pm; up to 45 hours/week

We are seeking an experienced industrial controls programmer/technician to join our AWESOME Manufacturing & Engineering Teams, in Bristol, CT.

This position reports to the Manufacturing Manager and is key to creating new control programs and supporting existing ones to ensure successful daily manufacturing operations. You are responsible for designing, developing, testing and supporting all control programs for machines and database systems. You will also be responsible for attending to minor electrical issues in the manufacturing environment.

Requirements:

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in experience and/or applicable certification in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum two-years of experience with PLC, motion control, and HMI Programming along with basic AC/DC electrical circuit knowledge.
  • Skills: Vision systems, Visual Basic, database experience are a plus.
    Must be able to read electrical schematics and have a basic understanding of process control. Troubleshooting of machine sensors, switches, valves, etc.
  • Computer Literacy: MS Office, Visual Basic or C++; have written at least 2 currently used programs for which can provide evidence of.
