One of the very first major events at the newly renovated Bristol Historical Society.

A Sherlock Holmes Weekend begins on Thursday, April 19th, at 7:00 p.m. with a live event “An Evening with the Gillettes” by Harold & Theodora Niver, presented in period costuming, as the international stage actor William Gillette and his wife, who created “Gillette Castle” here in Connecticut. Gillette was known for his stage performances as Sherlock Holmes.  The Nivers will give insights on the actor, the castle, and perform some Victorian Music Hall numbers of the era.  Admission is $5.00, Free for BHS members.
