This poetry workshop for all abilities is back by popular demand! Blackout poetry is a form of poetry wherein a poet takes an existing text and erases, blacks out, or otherwise obscures a large portion of the text, creating a wholly new work from what remains. Participants in this workshop will be provided with existing text and tools needed to create their own blackout poetry. Local Bristol poet, Sharon Arsego, will be assisting and provide examples of her own blackout poetry, and a brief walk through of the process, including some ways your poetry can be displayed.
