Blood drive in honor of Pete Pelkey

While we settle back into fall routines, blood donors are asked to book a time to give blood during their busy fall schedules.
This blood drive being held on Monday, October 10th, 2022 is sponsored by the Bristol CERT is in honor of Pete Pelkey. Blood donations on this day will be from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the Multi-Purpose Room at the St. Gregory CCD Center located at 1043 Stafford Avenue in Bristol.
Appointments for blood donation are required. Please make yours today by calling 1-800-Red Cross (1-800-733-2767) or by visting the American Red Cross site and entering sponsor code: BCERT, or click here to be taken directly to the Pete Pelkey blood drive.
• October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Donors are needed to help ensure blood and platelets are on the shelves for cancer patients and others who rely on transfusions for care.
• A diverse blood supply is important! We are recruiting donors of all ethnicities to give at our drive. Did you know a patient is more likely to find a compatible blood match from a donor of the same race or a similar ethnic group?
