The talk will provide an overview of transportation developments from the turnpike movement of the 1800s through the Farmington Canal, steamboats, steam railroads, electric trolleys, the bicycle, and beyond. An expert in transportation planning, Mr. DeLuca is also a distinguished author on the history of Connecticut transportation. Copies of his latest book will be available for purchase.
