Fishing Trip: Saturday, May 4, 2019 9am-12pm
This introductory fishing class will teach you everything you need to know to start fishing. Topics discussed include: where to go, how to tie a strong knot, what baits to use, how to identify and care for your catch, and much more!
The class is designed for adults and families (children ages 8 and up) and consists of two hours of classroom instruction with demonstrations on Thursday, May 2nd from 6-8pm. All students are then invited to join us on the following Saturday, May 4th from 9am-12pm at the lake for a fishing trip to try their new skills! The CARE program will provide fishing equipment to borrow and bait for the fishing trip. Valid fishing license is required for those 16 years and older to fish. Class will be taught by state certified fishing Instructor from DEEP CARE program.
*Fishing trip will take place at either Indian Rock Nature Preserve or Birges Pond in Bristol. Location will be determined closer to the date of the program based on fishing conditions.
