Calling all film buffs – here is your chance to understand how the movie industry affected us all. Part I of this program, presented by film historian Cortlandt Hull and film buff Bob Adamczyk, will concentrate on the origins of film from the turn of the century until the early 1940’s. From the silent era to sound, plus the development of Technicolor, and early special effects, such as stop motion animation. Segments shown on film, as well as video.
Then a second program on May 25th will concentrate on various film techniques including 3-D and wide screen formats from 1940 to the present. Cortlandt will talk about the technological advances made and show on screen those advances, while Bob will talk about the origins of the industry and how it affected America and the world.
