MAD Science Camps (5-12 yrs)
From Crazy Chem & Mad Science to exploration of our world!
CRAZY CHEM LAB (5-12yrs) We’ll learn about the tools scientist use in their laboratories: atoms, molecules, and reactions; acids and bases; and fluorescence and phosphorescence. We’ll also examine and investigate super sticky things by exploring suction, hydrogen bonding and static cling and see some very cool dry ice demonstrations! The best part is that you will be able to continue the fun at home with your very own labware take-homes! Mon-Thurs. For usually 3 days in July at Page Park Pavilion. $115
MAD SCIENCE REMIX (5-12yrs) Come explore the wonderful world around us! We will discover the Earth under our feet and above our heads. Learn why fish can float better than humans, how similar the water and rock cycle really are and how plants can feed themselves using only the sun! Children will participate in hands-on experiments and take home activities like dinosaur fossil casting, special sun beads that change color to remind you to put on your sunscreen and a “deep-sea diver.” Mon-Thurs. for 3-4 days at Page Park Pavilion. $115
RED HOT ROBOTS (8-12yrs) Explore the fascinating world of robotics and machines! Children will construct their own robots and gain working knowledge of circuits, wheels, gears, and sensors. Campers will build motorized robots to take home with them. For 3-4 days in July at Page Park Pavilion. $135
