Check out the unique History of Fire Museum, and learn about the history of firefighting by admiring old equipment on display with an educated staff to answer all of your questions. Enjoy looking at old fire helmets, high pressure fire nozzles, arrays of hose nozzles, leather fire buckets, signal bells, fire buckets and even early American leather fire buckets that were once required in every household. A great place to take the kids, family, fellow or aspiring firefighters, and friends to learn about the history of fire throughout human development!
While you’re there, make sure to check out all that the New England Carousel Museum and the Greek Museum Room have to offer! The museums are open from 10am until 5pm on Wednesdays through Saturdays. Sundays are open from 12pm until 5pm. All museums are closed Monday and Tuesday. A perfect day trip for your family and friends to enjoy some history!
