Move over Wrigley, Fenway, and Yankee Stadium, and welcome to historic Muzzy Field! Where hallow’ed legends both past and present have played including Babe Ruth himself!
The ballpark, which is adjacent to the city’s Rockwell Park, has a capacity of 4,900 people. Today, it is home to the Bristol Blues collegiate sports team. It is also used for high school sports, primarily baseball and football. Currently three high schools employ the field: Bristol Central High School, Bristol Eastern High School, and Saint Paul Catholic High School. The stadium features a ring of tall pine trees that line the outside of the outfield wall and a gorgeous brickfaced grandstand.
Given to the city in 1912 by Commissioner Adrian Muzzy in memory of his two sons, Muzzy Field is located on Muzzy Street. It features a lighted baseball and a football and soccer stadium complex.
