Home to concerts, festivals, trails, picnics, playgrounds, skateboarding and pool, Rockwell Park is a favorite place for the locals. With a fully equipped free outdoor skate park that includes ledges, a bowl, stairs, rails and more, it is the perfect place to play a game of skate or practice your bike tail whips. Just behind the park are a toddler playground and a regular playground with swings, slides, and more. The playgrounds are a perfect place to take the kids to play outside on a sunny summer day.
Rockwell also has multiple basketball courts to get your ball on, as well as lighted volleyball courts, and baseball fields in the back. Swim lessons are available at the learn-to-swim pool. Rockwell is also home to many hiking trails and a beautiful pond with an outdoor amphitheater that is used for shows and festivals. Rockwell Park Summer Festival is hosted each August with vendors, artists, live entertainment, and more to bring together Bristol pride! There also is Rockin’ Out at Rockwell’s Summer Concert Series bringing in bands for free concerts to the public. Santa Claus also make an appearance at Rockwell every December for Santa Land for day of live music sung by local chorus groups, meet and greets with Santa and Mrs. Claus, Christmas crafts and more!
Rockwell Park is also home to BARK Park, a public dog park. The park is fenced in a wooded area for dogs of all sizes. There is a separate space for smaller dogs as well, although they are welcome to play with the larger dogs. Whether you’re bringing your dog for a walk, taking your child to swim lessons, hanging with your buddies on the playground, skating the ledges, or shooting some hoops, Rockwell Park has something for everyone!
